Overall I did like the book, it was hard to follow in the beginning but I got use to it. I thought the best part was when in the end when his dad was trying to make it up to Chris. I thought the worse part was every time he got sidetracked and started writing about something else.  My favourite character was Chris just because of his perspective on life. My least favourite character was Mrs Shears because every time she talked in the book she was really mean and never in a good mood.

I believe that they wil find the body but it will be scary for them and that they will wish that they didn't go on their adventure.

The theme I chose from the body is friendship.  It is this because this group of boys are going on an adventure to find a body as friends. I believe it is this because all of the challenges brought them closer as friends. these are why I think friendship is a theme in the body.

The train incident would have improved their relationship in a few ways. One of them is that they now know that you shouldn't push people to do things they don't want to do and they also learned trains are dangerous.

The story I chose that is about mass hysteria is Lord of the Flies.  The "who" is a group of English school boys whose plane crashes and all adults die. The "what" is they were afraid of "the Beast" and blamed others for questions unknown. The "when" is sometime in the 1900's. The "where" was on an island in the tropics. The "why" is for the questions they couldn't answer they needed to blame something.

I think the taunting of Teddy's father got to him so much because Teddy idolizes his father for his participation in WWII. I believe that even when his dad burnt him and all the people that call him crazy he still believes his dad is a hero.  His father came back with PTSD but He believes it was not his fault and that he is still his father and his hero.

I feel that the firring of the Edmonton teacher is unfair and unjust.  If a student didn't hand in a assignment and was warned that if they didn't that they would recieve a zero, they should recieve one. I believe it is helpful to and motovates them to hand in their work. Also many people agree that what he did wasn't bad or worthy of being fired.  These are my opinions of how this was and unfair decision.

I believe the more interesting character is the "homeless" guy. I believe this because when he was first introduced the stereotypes made us assume he was the one doing something wrong, he yelled and seamed angry. Then once the salad was done he bought coffee and was nice. I also think he was more interesting because the old woman was just assumed he did something wrong and stayed like that till the end but he changed and had the different side that showed the more interesting personality. This is why I think he was more interesting then the old woman.

Long, Repetitive, Boring

Looking back on my 12 year old self there are a few things I would tell him. I would tell him to pick the puppy that comes up to him not the one that runs in a circle. I would also tell him to take the corner in the driveway slower so I don't flip the quad. I would tell him to pay attention in grade 8 to be better prepared.
Finally I would tell him to not go to the grade 9  preparation night it was just a waste of time.

This Year In English

This year in English I want to have a higher grade then 9 and 10. I would like to be over 70% for this class. I would like to accomplish a higher work ethic and take more time on my projects. I also hope to improve my essay abilities.  This is what I hope to accomplish in Grade 11 English.
